What do we find in this product?

This liquor is made with port tea or rock tea , it is a local, wild, high mountain plant that grows above 1,200 m. In Liébana this plant has always been used to make digestive infusions with which to finish meals by fogging them with a good “splash” of pomace. And from that custom arises this rich liquor that adds both flavors with an extraordinary and sweet mid-palate.

"The story of some crazy Friends"

This is the story of some "crazy" friends since childhood, passionate about the area and its culture, who in 2000 decided to plant their own vineyards. We wanted to know and update the possibilities of this mountain area in the Liébana region, surrounded by the Picos de Europa, whose old winemaking tradition had been lost.

One thing led to another and with the passage of time we were completely involved, founding the company Compañía Lebaniega de wines y licores SL known by our trademark Picos de Cabariezo. A pioneering winery and distillery set in Cantabria that has managed to contribute to the growth and recovery of these mountain vineyards, with a unique microclimate and terroir and a personality in the wines that we love ...

We have also maintained the heritage of this area in our distillery, with a pure artisan making and marc of extraordinary quality.

The achievements and work of this company and our family environment, with a clear and firm commitment to quality in everything we do, has made it recognized and awarded the National Fecoes Award as the best artisan winery-distillery 2.017.

From the beginning, we have also developed a whole project dedicated to ENOTOURISM, with guided tours where you can get to know and savor what we do, providing one more alternative in this wonderful landscape and privileged environment.
