Canned Angelachu
Conservas Angelachu was born in Santoña (Cantabria) Spain at the end of the 90s, with the experience of four generations of professional fishmongers and canners . Conservas Angelachu is a pioneer and leader in its sector for the artisanal production of canned fish, precisely because it respects and cares for the original and traditional processes. "Authentic artisan tradition" sums up the philosophy of this family business. The elaboration of Anchovies, Bonito del Norte, Relanzón and Boquerones has as its main characteristics its meticulous elaboration and the quality of the raw material: seasonal fish, from manual artisanal capture and of an ideal size. We make each of these products stand out for their magnificent presentation, texture and flavour.
Its most outstanding product is Cantabrian Anchovies in olive oil. To make this semi-preserve, they directly acquire the best raw materials from the Bay of Biscay, all the artisanal production of Angelachu preserves is made with anchovies of the Engraulis Encrasicolus species, common in the Cantabrian Sea. The fish, always in season (coastal), fresh and of suitable size and quality, comes directly from the main fish markets. The artisan process of salting begins by salting, gutting and packing the fish in barrels. We carefully take care of its evolution. Anchovies in olive oil from the Cantabrian Angelachu are renowned for their high quality.
How to taste Anchovies in Olive Oil?
To enjoy the anchovies you have to take the can out of the refrigerator about 20 minutes before you are going to consume them, so that the salt and oil dissolve completely (they solidify when cold) and you can enjoy their maximum taste.
